Profile: Originally run by volunteers,was incorporated in 1972. Since that time it has been offering a one-on-one counselling service,and responds to requests for education sessions. PPWR Waterloo now operates with a full-time Executive Directior, and part-time education, counselling, and fundraising coordinators. The staff is supported by approximately 45 volunteers, including the Board of Directors. PPWR does not have any core funding, and is not able to be a United Way member agency. The affiliate operates with generous support of individual community members, service clubs and foundations. All services provided by PPWR are confidential and non-judgemental.
