Celebrate Sexual & Reproductive Health Awareness Day February 12
Since 2003, CFSH has been celebrating Sexual & Reproductive Health Day on February 12 by promoting awareness of sexual and reproductive health issues and raising the profile of organizations providing sexual health services. This year, the 8th annual SRH Day draws attention to the prevention and treatment of chlamydia, Canada’s most prevalent sexually transmitted infection.
Thousands of Canadians have chlamydia and don’t know it. The majority of people infected have no symptoms. If left untreated, chlamydia can have serious consequences. Early detection and treatment are key; testing can be done though a simple urine or swab test, and it can be treated with antibiotics. Chlamydia can be prevented by practicing safer sex, including using a condom or dental dam when engaging in vaginal, anal or oral sex.
Do You Have It? Can You Tell Who Does?
Simple Test, Easy Treatment. Protect Yourself.
