G8 Muskoka Declaration: Recovery and New Beginnings
July 30, 2010
Every year, heads of state from eight of the world’s wealthiest nations gather to discuss international issues and challenges, and to formulate a course of action to address the needs created by these issues. As many of you are already aware, this year’s G8 meetings were held in the town of Huntsville, in Ontario’s Muskoka region, from June 25th to 26th. Topics covered at the meetings included Maternal and Child Health, Environmental Sustainability and Green Recovery, and International Peace and Security, among others. For information on the outcomes of this year’s meetings, please consult the G8 Muskoka Declaration: Recovery and New Beginnings.
