New Ontario Health and Physical Education Curriculum Withdrawn

On Thursday, April 22, 2010, Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty withdrew his proposed new Ontario Health and Physical Education Curriculum under pressure from opposition groups. The curriculum was set to be implemented in Ontario elementary schools starting in September of 2010, and was developed over the last two years, in consultation with a large number of health and physical education experts, curriculum experts, students and teachers.
